PENSA International Trains Leaders For ‘I Will Go (IWiG)’ 2022 Missions

Following the mandate of the Great Commission of Christ, the Pentecost Students and Associates (PENSA) International, a ministry of The Church of Pentecost, has held a week-long soul-winning training for ‘I Will Go (IWiG)’ 2022 Missions, to equip its leaders across the nations.

The missions training which is the Equipping Phase of the ministry, organised virtually on Zoom and Facebook, took place from Monday, November 28, 2022, to Saturday, December 3, 2022.

It was under the theme, “I Will Go” with scripture reading from Isaiah 6:8 and Mark 16:20. The focus of the entire Missions is to reach out to 15 unreached nations by the Church of Pentecost.

Over 260 participants, across 32 countries within six continents partook in the training and were trained by seasoned speakers in the following categories; Academic, Virtual, Financial, Prayer and Executive categories respectively.

Facilitators include Pastor Ebenezer Hagan (National Youth Director, Ghana & Patron, PENSA International), Apostle Yaw Adjei-Kwarteng (Bompata Area Head & Former Executive Council Member), Apostle Lawrence Otu-Nyarko (Finance and Administrative Director, COP), Apostle Prof. Kwabena Agyapong-Kodua (Vice Chancellor, Pentecost University, Ghana), and Apostle Dr. Jamil Nasir (Pakistan National Head), Apostle Seth Fianko-Larbi (Kenya National Head & RCC Coordinator, Eastern and Central African Bloc), Apostle Dr. Christian Tsekpoe (Head of Ministerial Formation, School of Theology, Mission and Leadership, Pentecost University, Ghana),

Others were Prof. Paul G. Kelly (Chair, Educational Leadership, Gateway Seminary, USA), Apostle Dr. Mike Portuphy (Youth Director, USA), Pastor Adrian Tan (Singapore), (Pastor Dr. Dela Klutse (Media Ministry Pastor, COP), Rev. Bernard Koku Avle (Manager, Citi FM & TV), Dr. Michael Matthews (Oral Roberts University), Pastor Bill Dindi (International Campus Ministry), Pro/Ovr. Dr. Patrick L. Adonoo (PENSA International Cordinator), and Bernard Twumasi Yeboah (The Church of Pentecost).

Delivering a presentation, the Home and Urban Missions Coordinator, Apostle Emmanuel Agyei Kwafo, admonished the participants to explore the great tools encompassed in social media to reach out to many with the gospel.

In the virtual missionary category, the Media Ministry Pastor, Pastor Dr Felix Dela Klutse highlighted on the need for the church to reach the estimated 2 billion social media account holders with the truth by creating catchy, inspiring and timely stories of our testimonies online.

“Surely, it is time to break the trend of feeding on the content of immorality and cults that deliberately flood our social media platforms; become intentional Spirit-led content creating evangelists who would counter such trends with the Word of God and save people from all nations through the internet,” Pastor Dr. Klutse stated.

The academic missionaries were advised to make time and share the gospel with peers, and establish campus ministries by Prob./Ovr. Dr. Patrick Adonoo, Coordinator of PENSA International.

He noted that global leaders and influencers of the next generation can be found with much certainty in the present academic circles.

The Financial missionaries, therefore received the essential truth of divine blessings given greatly for the noble cause of the Great Commission mandated by our Lord Jesus and the executive missionaries were given a touch of diplomacy, tact and strategy on how to reach out to high-profile persons. The Prayer missionaries were also deepened with insights on intercession by the facilitators.

Closing the training, Apostle Emmanuel Agyei Kwafo commissioned the committed men and women who had been equipped to go and possess the nations for Christ.

PENSA International is poised to carry out the “Deployment and Mission Phase” which shall run parallel to the “Gathering and Discipleship Phase” of its activities.
