YOUTH DIRECTORATE HOLDS LEADERSHIP TRAINING IN LA AREA

Youth Directorate of The Church of Pentecost, organized a one-day leadership seminar for all Youth Ministry Executives in the La Area.

Presenting the opening address at the seminar which was held on Saturday 28th November 2020, at Caprice Worship Centre, Pastor Ebenezer Hagan, the Youth Director said that, the purpose of the leadership training, is to equip the Youth Executives to ground young people in their respective Local Assemblies and Districts, and released them to possess the nations for Christ.

Pastor Hagan added that, the seminar is being held for all Areas in the Greater Accra Region and it will be replicated for other Areas in the entire country. He stated that, the current wave of training in Greater Accra Region is the first out of the three comprehensive trainings. It is code named T1, and that, T2 (Training 2) and T3 (Training 3) will follow in due course.

Pastor Kwadwo Obeng, Travelling Secretary for Greater Accra Sector presented on the four-year Vision of the Youth Ministry. He indicated that, the Youth Ministry Vision 2023 has three mandates namely; Discipleship Mandate, Unleashing Mandate and Holistic Development Mandate.

Pastor Isaac Osei, the La Area Youth Pastor taught on the Concept of Small Groups. He explained that, the Small Group concept has six benefits of Friendship, Accountability, Bible Study, Public Bible Reading (Bible Reading Club), Evangelism (Operation Andrew) and group prayer (Prayer Triplet).

The Youth Director also took the participants through the Dilemma Bible Study Approach. He helped participants to understand that, through this Bible Study approach, young people can relate with narratives in the Bible and also take appropriate actions when confronted with same or similar situations.

In a related development, similar trainings have been held for Tema, Madina and Ashaiman Areas. Also, it is expected that, in the month of December 2020, same training will be held for Kasoa, Haatso, and Anyaa Ablekuma Areas.
